Lauren Fowler, a senior at Buchanan High, won the girls 100-meter dash in a wind-legal 11.79 seconds and contributed to victory in the 4x100-meter relay in 47.50 at the CIF Central Section North Area Championships at Clovis East High in Clovis, Calif. Fowler also placed second in the 200 meters in a wind-aided 24.20 seconds, as well as finishing runner-up in the long jump with an 18-7 (5.66m) effort, advancing in all four events to the Central Section Championships on June 19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the home venue for Buchanan High, also in Clovis.
