Alexa Dandridge, a senior at Buchanan High, won the girls 300-meter hurdles in 44.92 seconds at the CIF Central Section North Area Championships at Clovis East High in Clovis, Calif. Dandridge also took third in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.12 seconds, in addition to placing sixth in the long jump with a leap of 17-4 (5.28m). Dandridge advanced to the Central Section Championships in both hurdling events June 19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the home faciltiy for Buchanan High, also in Clovis. She will await learning about qualification for the long jump final.
