Sydney Sundgren, a sophomore at Buchanan High, won the girls 3,200 meters in 10:52.96 at the CIF Central Section North Area Championships at Clovis East High in Clovis, Calif. Sundgren also placed second in the 1,600 in 4:49.67, advancing to the Central Section Championships in both events June 19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium, the home venue for Buchanan, also in Clovis.
