Cameron Tarver, a junior at Central High in Fresno, won the boys 100-meter dash in a wind-aided 10.63 seconds, prevailed in the 200 meters in a wind-aided 21.25 seconds and contributed to victory in the 4x100-meter relay in 41.25 seconds at the CIF Central Section North Area Championships at Clovis East High in Clovis, Calif. Tarver also placed second in the long jump with a leap of 21-8.50 (6.61m) to advance in all four events to the Central Section Championships on June 19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High, also in Clovis.
