Jeremiah Walker, a junior at Central High in Fresno, won the 400 meters in 48.98 and contributed to victory in the 4x100-meter relay in 41.25 at the CIF Central Section North Area Championships at Clovis East High in Clovis, California. Walker also placed second in the 200 in a wind-aided 21.31, in addition to helping Central secure second in the 4x400 relay in 3:22.38, advancing in all four events for the Central Section Championships on June 19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High, also in Clovis.
