Riley Costales, a sophomore at Central High in Fresno, won the girls 100-meter hurdles in a wind-legal 14.93 at the CIF Central Section North Area Championships at Clovis East High in Clovis, California. Costales also took third in the 4x400-meter relay in 4:10.55, along with finishing fourth in the 300 hurdles in 47.63 as well as the long jump with a leap of 17-8.50 (5.39m). Costales advanced to the Central Section Championships in all four events June 19 at Veterans Memorial Stadium at Buchanan High, also in Clovis.
